You’re Online Business Card

Dear Succession Readers,

It has been eight weeks since I began writing my Succession Must-Have’s, where you will get the latest regarding Branding, Digital Marketing, and Analytics. I built this website to bring knowledge to people who are looking to make their business number 1. Many companies out there may be struggling with a branding image, may not know what to do in this new digital world, or don’t understand the numbers behind it. My goal with this website is to help and guide you into understanding all these concepts.

Building this website has allowed me to reach you and get my messages across. Imagine what you can do for your business via a website?  If you have not created a website for your business, I highly recommend that you do. Today, in the world that we live, your website is your online business card. Companies that do not have a website may lose customers because of it. You want to build a website that is going to bring customers in to learn about you and your product and services.

There are many free sites that you can use to build your website, such as and These site provides you with easy themes and templates to make the creating aspect easy.  You could hire a website designer, but if the budget does not allow for it, these sites make it easy. The domain name of your website is essential. This is what consumers will be typing into their mobile phones, tablets, or desktops. Domain names do come at a cost, and that is where it can get a bit pricy, depending on the name you are looking to buy. You can use to go and search and purchase your domain.

To catch people’s attention, you want to have a visual site that is modern and that it has a call to action buttons. For example, if your business is one that requires customers to call you, make your phone number a call to action. Where if someone is viewing your page on their mobile device, they will be able to contact you directly from your website. Other call-to-action items are your social media platform, or they can purchase directly from your site. Keep in mind that smartphones are everywhere, and people do not leave home without their phones. So, you want to make sure that your website is also mobile-friendly. Don’t just go by what you see on your desktop.

Once you have created a website, add a contact form so your customers can contact you. You also want to create newsletters for your consumers. Keep them up-to-date on the latest products and services, show-off all your accomplishments, and any goods that you do for the community.

If you take any of my advice, and you are trying to build a new business or enhance your current, build a website, or enhance your current one. But don’t let your website be outdated. Your website represents your business. Perception is a reality, and you want that first impression to unforgettable.

If you need help building your online business card, reach out and I can help you build one.
